Mad Cross

New this year we’re introducing the first weekend cyclocross race on the Colorado calendar. Want to challenge yourself on a challenging course winding around the events area at the Ranch? This will be it, and a great prep for the Hemi on Sunday. We will run A, B, C categories for men and women as well as Junior categories. The last race of the day will be a 60 minute team relay. With an option to create 2 or 4 person teams, all racers get to experience the fun of CX racing. Perfect for those that haven’t done cross before. Put together any kind of team..all guys, all girls, co-ed, family. It’ll be good.

Mad Cross will be a sanctioned USA Cycling event for Categories A, B and Juniors. If you want to give it a try, you can race the CLINIC and you will not be required to have an annual (or one-day) license. Mad Cross is a great way to give yourself a nice warmup and shake the legs out before The Hemi, and have a lot of fun in the process. Or, just come out and have fun doing something you don’t typically see at a gravel race. Only good can come out of this.

Spectating: The main patio is a great place to watch the start and finish. If you choose to cheer on the course, there are multiple areas within walking distance of the main area. But this one will be a fan favorite.

The course will be set up on Friday and available for pre-ride in the evening, and on Saturday morning.
